Robert Alai was detained at Kamukunji police station following his arrest on Mombasa Road for putting delicate story on social media. Robert has been known for being a social media influencer and being among the agenda setters in the current media. On Friday, 18th August, he was arrested for a reason not well known to many.
He is now in police custody waiting for the next move. Colleague bloggers has taken the case deeply and now chanting on twitter with tittles #FreeAlai. The fierce blogger, Cyprian Nyakundi, who has been a long term counterpart to Alai is leading the 'cold war'.
"we may disagree with Mr. Alai but there comes a time we have to stand with each other as bloggers, hence #FreeAlai", Nyakundi wrote on his twitter account. Many of the twitter influencers have joined the trend in demanding for 'justice' for Alai.
"They forced me into another car before being taken to Kamkunji police station" Alai said on his timeline which he later pulled it down.
