Form Three Student named NEMA Ambassador

A Form Three girl, Hildah Gacheri, of Materi Girls' Secondary school was recognized by NEMA. She was spotted with a bag made from banana leaves.

 After plastic carrier bags was banned a week ago, Kenyans were caught up in a weird scenario of adapting a new life without plastic bags.
Well, for Hildah, it was a different case. She took the innovation to a higher level. Thanks to the social media, she got recognized.

NEMA named her the environmental Ambassador.She was proud of her banana-leaves bag, and she was the next big thing.
