We all are familiar with slay queens right? From the cheap sassy ladies with Gikomba clad and kibandaski moments to classy ladies with Gucci clad and Sarova lunch, all slay and kill moments posting pics on social media platforms.
Slay queens are overrated. The assumption that every beautiful woman with some makeup and well-dressed is a slay queen is not fair. Am not picking a fight with president Nyakundi though, but some ladies out there need a benefit of the doubt.
What are the assumptions?
1.They are fake
Many ladies who have made through the media ‘cooked’ their identity making people like them for what they look. Just like Vera Sidika and company, people tend to believe that when you look pretty you are fake
2. They are dumb
We all believe that God only gives you one thing. Like beauty goes hand in hand with flat ass or big booty with an ugly face. But those are stereotypes. Slay queens are believed to be slow upstairs. They are associated with cheating on exams or even seeking for marks from male lecturers.
3. They are materialistic
Ladies who ask for gifts can be said to have a love for money. Slay queens pose for pictures with fancy and expensive stuff and this can change on how people perceive them. It is not always the point because if some can afford it then why not rock expensive things?
4. They are slutty
The Internet can break or make someone. Ladies pose pictures with different kind of people in different places and some are believed to be whores. Just like Vera who advertise her ‘nunu’ to be worth millions, they are believed to practice prostitution to earn a living.
5. They are all the same
Some ladies can fit into all the categories of being slutty, materialistic and fake but that does not give the whole point. just as my logic teacher would say inductive reasoning has it conclusions not necessarily true when multiple premises are sampled. Therefore, not all well-looking ladies are slay queens. Let 'em beG
